So, without further ado, let’s begin!

  • Founders: John Thornhill
  • Price: $497 One-payment, or you can pay two payments of $275 each, or six payments of $97 each. There’s an optional upsell of around $5,000. You also need to pay for the auotresponder and the traffic if you want to use ads.
  • Recommended? No

Overall Rating: 70 of 100 (Check out my #1 recommended program 97 of 100)

Summary: John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program is a self-centred program that is designed to get you pay to join it and then, promote John’ products to others as an affiliate, including the very same Ambassador Program itself, but with a relatively higher commission compared to usual, in addition to some other high ticket programs that promise people to make money online.

This method is not the best way of making money with affiliate marketing as promoting this type of products is really difficult and competitive.

What Is John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program?

John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program is a program that offers training and tools that are designed to allow you promote the products of John Thornhill himself as an affiliate, but with a higher commission compared to what normal affiliates get to promote his products, in addition to promoting some other high ticket programs and course that promise people to make money online.

What Is John Thornhills Ambassador Program

The claims John gives in the above screenshot from his webinar are a bit hyped-up in my opinion, as it is difficult for a newbie in any online business to make this money in the first month, and especially if they want to sell products related to making money online like John’s programs.

Also, it is misleading because John doesn’t say how much the profit is from that $28k, which is a revenue and not profit, especially that you need to use paid traffic method to get this amount within 30 days.

This means that you might end up profiting only $2,000 or even less. You might even be losing money if you don’t know what you are doing.

Is John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program an MLM or a Pyramid Scheme?

Although there are similar features between what is in the John Thornhill Ambassador Program on one side, and MLM and Pyramid schemes on the other side, but John’s Ambassador Program is neither an MLM nor a Pyramid scheme.

It is not an MLM because you don’t have to recruit others to do the same and promote John’s products, although that’s an option, and especially because you will be also promoting other’s programs and not only John’s programs.

And it is not a pyramid scheme because people actually get something in return of the money they pay, and they don’t have to invite others.

How Does John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program Work?

How John Thornhills Ambassador Program Works

In steps, this is how the John Thornhill Ambassador Program works:

1 – Attend The “Free Live” Webinar & Join The Program

There’s a webinar that you need to attend in order to be able at the end of it to join the John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program and get the license to sell his products and keep a 100% commission on all of them.

2 – Get Your Own Landing Page and Webinar Funnel Setup for You

After you join the program, you get from them a landing page and a webinar funnel, like then one of the ambassador program itself, but this one will be yours, which you will use to invite others to a webinar and sell them John’s products.

3 – Connect Your Funnel to Your Email Autoresponder & ClickBank Account

You need to use an email autoresponder, and John recommends Aweber.

Once you create an account there, you connect it to your funnel mentioned earlier, so that when you bring people to your landing page, they first join your email list, and then they go to the webinar.

The benefit of this is that John has already prepared around 99 promotional email messages that will be sent to the subscribers in 30 days, promoting them the different products of John Thornhill himself.

John Thornhills Ambassador Program Email Followup
In addition to John Thornill’s programs and products, emails will contain promotions to some other high ticket programs such as John Crestani’s Super Affiliate System, ClickBank University, and others.

John Thornhills Ambassador Promotions

And for your ClickBank affiliate account, you need to enter your CB affiliate ID, so the email messages will contain your own affiliate links to every product or program promoted to your list.

4 – Start Driving Targeted Traffic to Your Landing Page

Now you need to use a traffic method in order to get targeted visitors to your landing page who would optin to your list, and then watch the webinar that promotes John’s products.

And if someone from your list buys anything that is promoted to them through your link, you get a commission as an affiliate.

So in a nutshell, John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program is going to give you a done-for-you funnel in order to make money with affiliate marketing by building your email list and promoting offers related to making money online opportunities.

And although this method of doing affiliate is legit, but it is not the best way of doing affiliate marketing as you don’t build authority and trust with your audience this way, which makes it difficult to get people to buy what you promote.

Also, the Make Money Online niche is a difficult one, competitive, and not worth going after in my opinion.

For a better way of doing affiliate marketing, check out the recommended alternative in the last section of this John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program review.

What You Inside John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program

If you join this program, you get mainly the following:

1 – The DFY Webinar Funnel

As I explained earlier, this is a set of pages where you drive traffic to collect emails, and to offer a webinar for others to watch before selling them on joining one of John’s programs.

John says that this is worth $997, but that’s NOT true as you can make such a funnel by yourself for a much lower cost.

2 – The 99 Email Scripts

This is a set of email messages that will be sent frequently to your list subscribers in order to promote to them John’ products and other expensive products.

3 – Traffic Training

This is a training on how to get targeted web traffic to your webinar funnel so that you promote to them John’s products and build your list.

4 – Your JV Page

John Thornhills Ambassador JV Page

This is a page where you can also hire affiliates to go and promote the John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program as if it was yours, and you give them 50% of the price and get the other half.

John Thornhills Ambassador Program Downline Affiliates

This part is what makes it like an MLM scheme, but it is not as your affiliates don’t have to buy the Ambassador program in order to promote it.

However, these affiliate will also be offered to join the Ambassador Program itself and you will get a 50% commission on that.

This part in particular makes it look more like an MLM scheme.

John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program Price & Up-sells

The initial cost of joining John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program is a one payment of $497, and you can pay in two monthly installments of $275 each, or six monthly installments of $97 each.

Also, you need to pay for the email autoresponder on monthly basis but they have a limited free plan to start with, and you need to pay for traffic in case that you need faster results.

However, this is not everything, as you will be offered to join the John Thornhill Partnership to Success Program, which costs $4,997, and it is supposed to teach you how to create your own product to sell to others.

Please note that there’s NO REFUND on the John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program, once you pay, your money is GONE.

What I Like about John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program

  • It’s about affiliate marketing, which is a legitimate business model, but not the way they do it.

Nothing else that I like about this program.

What I Don’t Like about John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program

Many things, such as:

1 – More Like an MLM

You join a program to make money with what they teach you, and they teach you to promote the same program, and other similar programs, to people and you even bring them to do the same as you do.

John Thornhills Ambassador Program MLM Structure

This is so much similar to MLM schemes, even if it wasn’t considered as such.

2 – Unsustainable Approach

This structure is unsustainable as the market will be saturated very quickly.

Using done-for-you funnels and email scripts means that many others who join the program itself will use these same funnels and scripts to promote the same programs to the same people you promote to.

After a while, people will stop responding to your promotions and you will stop making money, assuming that you could make some money at the start.

This is very similar to other programs that follow the same model such as CB Passive Income Elite and The 12 Minute Affiiliate System.

3 – Not The Right Way of Doing Affiliate Marketing

Collecting emails and sending people affiliate promotions from a stranger like taught in the John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program is not the right way of doing affiliate marketing.

You need to make people trust you before you send them promotions, or they won’t buy from your affiliate links.

And you can do that by creating helpful content on a blog, like I do here, creating a YT channel with helpful videos, or even by building a social following on some platform.

And that helpful content makes people connect with you and trust you, and when you recommend something to them, they are more likely to respond and buy what you promote through your link

4 – Hyped-Up Claims

John tells you that you can make up to $28k on the first month, but that’s unrealistic with beginners.

Add to that, you will probably need to use paid traffic methods in order to make that money in revenue, which means that your profits will be much less compared to that number.

5 – Expensive

$497 For what?

A package of done-for-you funnel and email scripts?

Or for the license to sell John’s products and get 0 of the price.

You could actually be an affiliate and still get at least 50% of the prices of his products, and if you found that they convert at a high rate, then you might consider joining the Ambassador program to get the 100% commission.

6 – No Refund

Most expensive programs in the industry of making money online come with a 30-day or even 60-day money back guarantee, but John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program doesn’t.

That’s why I don’t recommend risking your money.

7 – Contradictions and Misleading Info

John tells you in the webinar that product creation and selling is the way of doing a thing online.

John Thornhills Ambassador Program ContradictionsAnd he keeps trashing affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Vs. Product Owner John Thornhills

But then, he want’s you to promote his products as an affiliate!!!!

What do you call that?

8 – A Very Expensive Upsell is Coming

In the webinar, John mentions the “Partnership to Success” coaching program, but he says that he doesn’t want to sell you compared to.

But after you join the Ambassador program, John offers you to join the Partnership to Success for $4,997!

9 – You Don’t Own a Business

Since you don’t own the webinar funnel on a domain name and a hosting service outside the program, this means that these are not yours.

Your whole “business” is built on someone else’s premises, and if he closes the program, you are done.

You might still have the email list you have built, but you don’t have the scripts, and you have to start on your own.

While if you build your own affiliate site as explained in the last section in this review, which doesn’t require technical knowledge, you own your business and no one can take it from you.

Who Is John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program for?

I don’t recommend joining the John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program for the nine reasons mentioned in the previous section.

You can save the money, or invest it in a different program that will teach you how to build a real affiliate business that you own, like it is with the recommended program in the last section of this review.

Conclusion – Is John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program a Scam or Legit?

It is not a scam, but at the same time, I don’t like it for the 9 reasons mentioned earlier, and I don’t recommend joining this program as you don’t build a real business that you own.

  • Name: John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program
  • Website:
  • Founders: John Thornhill
  • Price: $497 One-payment, or you can pay two payments of $275 each, or six payments of $97 each. There’s an optional upsell of around $5,000. You also need to pay for the auotresponder and the traffic if you want to use ads.

That’s my final conclusion of this John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program review.

However, I still recommend that you learn affiliate marketing, but the right way, which takes us to the next question:

A 100% Legit Alternative to John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program?

As I mentioned earlier, John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program limits you to promoting programs related to making money online courses, but what if you want to do affiliate promotions in another industry, such as: basketball, cooking, yoga, painting, guitar, …etc.?

You can’t do that with this program.

Add to that, you don’t own a website with this program, which means that you don’t own a business.

You are fully reliant on John, if he closes the Ambassador program, you stop making money.

While my recommended alternative is a place that will teach you how to fish by yourself.
