How to Find Affiliate Programs in Your Niche [7 Free Methods & Tools]

How To Find Affiliate Programs

Starting with affiliate marketing and looking to learn how to find affiliate programs in your niche?

In this guide, I will teach you about the seven COMPLETELY FREE methods and tools that I personally use to find lucrative and relevant affiliate marketing programs in order to make money online.

And watch out for the last two methods as these are my favorite ones and the ones that would help you save lots of time and effort if you how to use them.

So, without further ado, let’s start!

How To Find Affiliate Programs in Your Niche?

1 – Search On Google For The In-House Affiliate Programs

This is the method that will bring you most of the in-house or self-hosted affiliate programs that you can join directly through the merchants’ websites.

And sometimes, these affiliate programs are managed through an affiliate network, but they have their own page on the merchants’ websites.

The way to find affiliate programs using Google search is to go to Google.com, and in the search box, type in the name of your industry or niche + affiliate program, like in the following screenshot as an example with the fishing niche.

Google Search For Affiliate Programs

As you can see, you will find a list of affiliate programs from their owners’ websites, and some results are from bloggers who mentioned lists of the affiliate programs in that niche.

And if you are looking for something more niche or specific, then you can change the search query to include the sub-niche or sub-category you want to find affiliate programs for.

For example, you can replace “fishing” with “betta fish” and you get a different list of results:

Sub-Niche Affiliate Programs

Sometimes the affiliate program is mentioned as “Partner Program” on their own websites, so, you can use that term in your search on Google and you might get a different set of results.

2 – E-Commerce Marketplaces

Big e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Etsy, AliExpress, Walmart and others have their own affiliate programs and can pay you commission for every customer you bring to buy something through your affiliate link.

What is nice about these marketplaces is that they sell products in almost every niche and sub-niche that you could think of.

And you can join one program of these, say Amazon Associates, and you can promote any product in the niche you are in, whether it was fishing, hiking, drawing, yoga, health and fitness, beauty and cosmetics, electronics, gear and tools, ….etc.

Another thing that is nice about joining such affiliate programs is that these marketplaces are well-known and highly trusted by people all over the world, which makes it easier to convert them into buyers and get you commissions.

The downfall though is that these marketplaces mainly sell physical products, which makes the commissions a little bit low compared to selling digital downloads or software programs.

To join any of these programs, visit the online marketplace you want to join as an affiliate, scroll down to the bottom of the home page, and look for where it says: Affiliate program, partner program, affiliates, partners, …etc.

Pro Tip: If you can’t find the affiliate program or partner page on a certain website, then you can go to Google search, type in the following query, and press enter:

site:website.com affiliate program (or affiliates)

site:website.com partner program (or partners)

Finding In-house Affiliate ProgramsThis is search will bring you the dedicated pages from that specific website that mention the phrases related to their affiliate marketing programs or their partner programs.

3 – Affiliate Networks

In the first point above, I mentioned that the Google search method will help you find affiliate marketing programs hosted by the merchants’ themselves on their websites, or they might be hosted on affiliate networks but they have a dedicated page on their website.

And affiliate networks are websites where you can explore and find different affiliate programs for different merchants and product sellers from different niches and markets, and you can easily filter them and find profitable affiliate programs related to your niche, like you can see in this screenshot from ClickBank network.Affiliate Networks For Finding Offers

Now the difference between these affiliate networks and the e-commerce marketplaces, is that the commission rates for products listed in these affiliate networks are specified by the merchants themselves and not by the affiliate network, and these could be either a fixed amount of money, or a percentage on the sale value.

While at the ecommerce websites, the affiliate commissions are usually pre-specified by the marketplace as a percentage based on the category of the item itself such as: electronics, clothes, cosmetics, …etc.

Also, many of the affiliate networks offer affiliate programs for different kinds of offers: physical products, digital downloads, membership subscriptions, or even CPA offers such as: free and paid software downloads and subscriptions, lead generation, email zip code submits, phone calls, …etc.

Some of the most popular and best affiliate networks are:

  • ClickBank
  • CJ Affiliate (previously known as Commission Junction)
  • LinkShare
  • ShareASale
  • MaxBounty
  • AdWork Media
  • CPA Lead
  • AdsMain
  • Awin

You can visit affpaying.com to find more about many affiliate networks and see what kinds of offers they have, their payment methods and terms, reviews from affiliates, …etc. But most of the networks listed on this site are CPA networks.

4 – OfferVault

OfferVault is a search engine that is dedicated into helping you find affiliate offers by searching about a certain industry or niche. Or you can even search by the type of the offer such as “download” or “chrome extension”, and it will pull out the relevant offers for you.

This search engine will tell you on which affiliate network that offer is available, the type of the offer (lead, sale, download, …etc.), how much the commission is, and you can see the landing page of the offer.

This is an example how I use it to find insurance affiliate offers.

The nice thing about this search engine is that it will show you if the offer is available on more than network and if the commission is different across different networks for the same offer.

5 – Other Affiliates’ Blogs & Promotional Emails

If you immerse yourself a little bit in your niche or market, then you probably know that there are some strong bloggers in that niche that create content continuously, and most likely, they have an email newsletter.

And if you join their newsletter or if you visit their blogs, you would notice that they make most of their money from promoting others’ products and programs as affiliates.

And here’s your chance, you can go through their blog posts, or maybe search on reviews of products on their websites by using the search query: “site:examplesite.com review” on google, like this example of how you can find all the reviews on my own blog.

Finding Affiliate Products On Blogs

And this will give you a list of their articles where they review products and promote them as affiliates.

Also, if you join their email lists, you will start receiving their broadcast emails where they will send you promotions for new products in that niche from time to time. And they promote these products as affiliates, which is something you can do as well.

Pro Tip: You can set Google Alert for certain keywords in your industry such as “dog training review” and Google will send you a notification when someone writes an article that contains these words, which might be regarding a new product in the industry.

6 – Affiliate Marketing & Niche/Industry Forums & Communities

This is often and overlooked method but it is effective.

And there are two main categories of forums and communities that you can utilize to learn about the available and the new affiliate programs:

  1. Industry or Niche Forums: These are the forums and communities that are specialized in your niche such as Fishing forums, Basketball forums, Programming forums, …etc. These are active communities where people ask or talk about certain products in your industry, which you could then go and see if they have affiliate programs. Or maybe there are some other affiliates who are promoting certain products in your niche in these communities. And you can find these by searching on Google the name of your niche or industry and add the word “forums” like in this screenshot. Forums To Find Affiliate Marketing Opportunities
  2. Affiliate Marketing Forums: These are communities where many affiliate marketers from different niches and industries meet in order to learn from one another and to share their experiences and knowledge. And many of them might share news about new affiliate programs in certain niches, or they might share their reviews and experiences about some of the existing affiliate programs.

And there are many active affiliate marketing forums and communities out their such as WarriorForum and others, but my favorite is Wealthy Affiliate as it is the most active one and the one that is filled with really helpful and supportive people.

Pro Tip: You can check the Reddit.com for relevant sub-Reddits in your industry and join those as well. These will probably have questions about some products in your niche.

Or you can also examine Q&A forums and communities such as Quora where people ask about any topic and sometimes they ask about specific products.
