Looking to dropship unique items and avoid the competition and the unreliable suppliers from AliExpress? Here is a list of the best print on demand apps for Shopify that offer a higher quality, faster shipping, more reliability, better communication and a wide selection of items that you can place your unique designs on and market to audience.
Forget about the long lists of 10+ Apps that you won’t use. I will only mentioned the most reliable companies with the unique items without exhausting you with a long list that will just leave you confused. Sometimes, less is more.
I will mention these apps in an order that I recommend you to consider them. But of course, there is nothing that prevents you from using all of them as each one has its own unique items.
The Four Best Shopify Print on Demand Apps
1 – Printful
This POD app is currently ranked number 1 on the Shopify App Store for the POD Apps with around 2955 reviews and 4.5 stars overall rating.
This is a free to install App and you can read my full Printful Review, but here are some of the many powerful points it has:
1 – The most used POD App so far and the one with most reviews and overall 4.6 stars rating.
2 – Variety of Products.
3 – White Label, no “Printful” logo on the product.
4 – Free Mockup Generator.
5 – They have four fulfillment houses, two in USA, one in Mexico and one in Latvia in Europe, which makes it better for shipping times.
6 – 20% Discount on the sample orders.
Products that are available on this print on demand App are the following:
1 – Men’s clothing:
- All men’s clothing
- All shirts
- All-over shirts
- Tank tops
- 3/4 sleeve shirts
- Long sleeve shirts
- Embroidered shirts
- All hoodies & sweatshirts
- Leggings (for men)
2- Women’s clothing
- All women’s clothing
- All shirts
- All-over shirts
- Tank tops
- Crop tops
- Embroidered shirts
- 3/4 sleeve shirts
- Long sleeve shirts
- All hoodies & sweatshirts
- Sports bras
3 – Kid’s & youth clothing
- All kids & youth
- All shirts
- All-over shirts
- Tank tops
- Baby bodysuits
4 – Accessories
- All accessories
- Embroidered hats
- Trucker hats
- Dad hats
- 5-panel hats
- Mesh hats
- Bucket hats
- Tote bags
- Drawstring bags
- Phone cases
- iPhone cases
- Samsung cases
5 – Home & living
- All home & living
- Embroidered aprons
- Coffee mugs
- Throw pillows
- Pillow cases
- Wall art
- Framed posters
- Canvas prints
- Beach towels
The above is a long list of items and they are continuously adding new products, however, this doesn’t mean that there is nothing that I don’t like about this App such as:
1 – The average rating is 4.5 stars although they are the most popular POD App on Shopify App Store. I have seen some 1, 2 and 3 star rating complaining about the quality of the products received, sending wrong items to the customers, …etc.
2 – The products are a bit pricy when compared to similar products from other Print On Demand Companies. I would expect at least a rating of 4.9 stars.
But the good thing is that they are more reliable than other POD apps mentioned below as the other apps have received many negative reviews recent updates during the pandemic months due to the delays in shipping items to customers.
2 – WC Fulfillment
This free to install POD App has been released only in 2018, but in few months they made it to the top 10 POD fulfillment apps on the Shopify App Store.
You can see the many reasons I have put this relatively new app on the number # 2 spot in my WC Fulfillment review, but I will include some of them here:
1 – A wide variety of unique print on demand products when compared to other Print On Demand companies such as: Watches, Wallet Phone Cases, Women’s Purse, Men’s Wallets, Hooded Blankets, …etc.
2 – The App gives you an access to lots of resources such as: A Facebook Ads Course, video training on how do the designs by yourself using different softwares, many mockup files for each item with different backgrounds, video mockups for different products, and even free successful designs (image and video) for many items in many niches that the owner of this app used in the past.
Also, a list of 25+ buyer niches with targeting data to use in Facebook Ads, Email Scripts for many cases and situations that will help you with customers and many other useful stuff being added continuously.
Almost no other Print On Demand App gives you these stuff.
3 – The owner of the App (Nate Andres) has been already successful in the Shopify Dropshipping field, both with Aliexpress and POD.
He has a YouTube Channel (Click here to subscribe!) and he teaches you literally everything he learned and used successfully in his journey for the past few years from researching design ideas, to getting great designs for the lowest possible cost, test designs and finding possible winners, creating testing and selling campaigns on Facebook with all the tricks that you need to learn that others aren’t even sharing in their overpriced ($997+) courses, scaling winning campaigns, having a professional store and many other great stuff. Tens of hours of pure value on his YouTube Channel, no BS.
4 – Prices are relatively low-average when it comes to POD, and since many of them are unique, this gives you a better margin when pricing the products on your own store and enjoy a higher profit.
5 – For some items, express shipping is available and many of the items are fulfilled and shipped from the US.
I Believe the above five reasons, along with the 240 reviews on the Shopify App Store with the rating of 4.8 stars (till the moment of writing this article) are enough to place it in the first spot when it comes to the POD Services that you can integrate with a Shopify store.
Update: The rating dropped to 3.4 stars due to the long shipping times and the lack of support communication during the pandemic periode.
Following are the items that are available at the moment on this great POD App:
1 – Print On Demand Wallet Phone Cases: suitable for 50+ phone types/models.
2 – Print On Demand Watches: Black, Silver & Rose Gold colors with different types/colors of bands that the buyer can select and can even buy as an additional upsell. (higher possible AOV)
3 – Print On Demand Wallet Purse for Women.
4 – Men’s Print On Demand Wallets.
5 – Print On Demand Hooded Blankets: with FREE UPS Express Shipping 5-8 Days (USA + Worldwide).
6 – Print On Demand Normal Blankets: with FREE UPS Express Shipping 5-8 Days (USA + Worldwide).
7 – Print On Demand Round Beach Blankets.
8 – Print On Demand Normal Phone Cases: Available for 20+ phone types/models.
9 – Print On Demand 360 Print Mugs.
10 – Print On Demand Hard Shell Macbook Cases.
11 – Print On Demand Skateboard Wall Art.
12 – Print On Demand All Over Print Hoodies.
13 – Print On Demand All Over Print Sweatshirts.
14 – Print On Demand Leggings.
15 – Print On Demand DTG Apparel.
And many other products.
What I don’t like about it:
1 – Some items take long time to ship due to the fulfillment from China.
3 – Pillow Profits
This app is a bit similar to Printful but each one has some unique products that aren’t provided by the other one. This is a paid app with 30-Days free trial if you install it from the Shopify App Store, and 7-Days if you install it from their website, and then, $29.99/month after that. It’s current rating on the App Store is 4.8 stars.
Update: The current rating is 3.5 stars due to many negative reviews because of the delays in shipping times during the pandemic months.
You can read more about this company in my Pillow Profits Review, but here I will give you some details about it.
Many reasons that made me add the app to my list of best POD apps for Shopify, including:
1 – A wide variety of products at reasonable prices that already include the shipping cost.
2 – Express shipping is available as an upsell.
3 – Unique items such as: shoes, sneakers, flip-flops, car seat covers, …etc.
4 – High overall rating, 4.8 stars from around 700 reviews. (Currently dropped down to 3.5)
5 – Mockups available for members.
Following are the items that you can sell with this company:
- High Tops
- Low Tops
- Car Seat Covers
- Flip Flops
- Slip Ons
- Wall Art
- Luggage Covers
What I don’t like about this app:
1 – You have to pay in order to use the app, regardless of the number of the orders. And the free trial is only 7-days.
2 – There are some negative reviews from unsatisfied users of the app. But still, the overall rating was around 4.8 stars for a long time, which is outstanding, but currently, it dropped down to 3.5 stars due to the delays in shipping times.
4 – ShineOn Jewelry Fulfillment
Important Update: November 2018 – This app is not one of the top recommended POD apps by currently. This is due to the complaints on the BBB.org and YELP.com. This is in addition to the fact that this app is not listed to Shopify App store and the unavailability of any reviews on their FB page. However, the items sold here are different from many other popular apps, and it is still one of the recommended apps from known people in the POD dropshipping industry such as Michael Shih, the trainer at Print Profits. But for Online Passive Income Guide, we don’t consider it one of our recommended apps until more transparency is provided by, for example, doing the following: a – Listing the app on the Shopify App Store and seeing more reviews from dropshippers. b – Allowing the possibility to review the company on their official FB page and seeing many reviews that look genuine.
You can check my ShineOn Jewelry Review for details, but I will mention here some of the main features products of this POD App.
This app allows you to Print On Demand different styles of elegant jewelry with both: printing and engraving. Also, two colors are available: silver and gold.
Following are the things that I like about this app:
1 – Unique jewelry items when it comes to the print on demand industry. Also, engraving is available as an upsell instead of printing.
2 – Low prices when compared to the uniqueness and perceived value of products, which leaves you a higher margin.
3 – Made by mothers in USA.
4 – Video mockups are available upon request. Only for $7.49.
5 – Nice packaging.
Products available on this POD Shopify App:
1 – Cross – Luxury Necklace.
2 – Luxury Cross – Military Ball Chain.
3 – Luxury Dog Tag – Military Ball Chain.
4 – Circle – Luxury Necklace and Bangle.
5 – Circle – Adjustable Bangle.
6 – Heart – Luxury Necklace and Bangle.
7 – Heart – Adjustable Bangle (w/ Necklace variant).
8 – Circle Charm – Luxury Steel Bracelet.
9 – Circle Charm – Real Leather Woven Bracelet.
10 – Heart Charm – Luxury Steel Bracelet.
11 – Heart Charm – Real Leather Woven Bracelet.
12 – Upsell Items: Luxury Bracelet, Accessory Items, Double Braided Bracelet
13 – Gift Box.
What I don’t like about this app is the fact that the App is not listed on Shopify App store, which makes it difficult to find reviews from dropshippers. Also, their FB page doesn’t allow any reviews. This is in addition to the many negative reviews on Yelp and BBB.
Conclusion – Best Print on Demand Shopify Apps
So, now that I provided you with four of the best Shopify Print On Demand Apps, go ahead and choose the one that you feel you will be better marketing and selling their products.
Honestly, due to the current situation, I recommend that you only utilize Printful as they are the most reliable one when it comes to fulfilling and shipping orders during the current situation.
And of course, you can work on more than one of them and on as many products as you wish.
I have provided you at the end of the description of each POD App with the link to install the App and integrate it with your Shopify store.
If you think you are not sure that you want to do Print On Demand due to the expected work and expenses for getting the designs, then maybe you try dropshipping with AliExpress at the start, which allows you to start at a lower cost, but you need a solid training from someone really successful in this field.
In this case, you might consider reading my eCom Elites Review to learn about the best training in the industry that you can get at the insanely low cost when compared to the value in it, and compared to other overpriced programs in the industry.
Also, you might consider reading my article about the 11 different ways for making money with Shopify in order to find alternative methods of making money with this platform.

What an amazing niche you found. Keep up the good work.
I enjoyed reading about the options available for print-on-demand. Sometimes we feel so limited because we don’t want to buy more than one of, yet we want to buy something for a special someone, or give as a unique gift.
As a website owner, this medium also provides an opportunity to offer something to site visitors that can add value to the website. Something like promotional materials etc… you have me thinking about the possibilities.
I also took a look at your post about “How to make money reviewing products online” and I think you did a very good job presenting the information. You mention that English is not your first language, but your ideas and thoughts flow in a nice manner, it is actually quite a pleasant read. Congratulations!!!
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks a lot Mitchguy!
I really appreciate reading my articles and the encouraging words!
Indeed, there are lots of opportunities in the online business world. You can mix lots of ideas or current business models in order to come in with innovative ways to make money.
Thanks again for going through my websites and looking forward to hearing from you again!
This has been an excellent resource for me to sort out options for different print on demand routes with Shopify, thanks so much for publishing it and making the whole chore easier for me.
Out of all the apps you’ve listed here, you seem to be leaning more towards the Pillow Profits – is this the best option for a relative newbie to take on? Also, how much success have you seen through the listed apps above?
Hello Chris and thank you for the questions!
Actually, I lean more towards WC Fulfillment which is free to use, unlike Pillow Profits, which is also a great POD App.
I feel that the market is a bit competitive with products such t-shirts, hoodies, normal phone cases, mugs, …etc. This is why I lean more to WC Fulfillment which focuses mainly on the latest unique products.
But in general, all other apps has their own unique products even if they have more common products. All of them are great. It is up to you to find the one that would work better for your store and target audience.
I hope this answers your questions. Please, let me know if you need more help!
I love all the different options of print on demand with Shopify!! So many different products too.
the jelwery is cute! And I love the pillows, wall art, but mostly the phone cases as I have a obsession with collecting phone cases, so I may have to get a lovely print of my cats on a phone case and sell it!
But more than one offers phone cases, which one do you recommend the most?
Thanks in advance!
Hello Jayde and thank you for the comment and for the question!
I highly recommend WC Fulfillment as they offer also Wallet Phone Cases, which is more unique than normal phone cases when it comes to Print on Demand.
Please, let me know once you try it how it went. Would love to hear your feedback!
Thanks for taking the time to write this detailed guide about the best print on demand companies for Shopify. I like that you included different types of print that at least I hadn’t thought about like jewelry print. I also like the clear, bulleted breakdowns. It makes it much easier to read and understand what is available than having a paragraph style ocean of words.
Thanks for sharing,
Hello Marlinda and thank you for passing by!

Blown away by your article. I had no idea of the different print on demand options with Shopify. This really allows you to customize products for folks. Great feature for a gift-giving storefront.
I appreciate you doing all the research on how it install the apps and integrate to a Shopify store.
The Pillow Profits app seems like a no-brainer. I’m amazed at how many products you can use with this platform.
You have definitely given me new motivation on how to jump start my new store. I’ll be sure keep you updated on which of these apps I end up using. Thanks again!
Hello Tim and thank you for the comment!
That’s great, all the mentioned above are great POD Apps for Shopify Integration. I like both Pillow Profits and WC Fulfillment as they have the 4.8 Stars rating with hundreds of reviews. And both keep adding new items.
